July Textile Exports Up 4%

Pakistani exports of textile goods in July 2005 increased by 3.95% from the same month of 2004 to USus788.31 million.By item,exports of cotton yarn grew by 50.41% in volume and 25.30% in dollars to 45,571 tons worth USus90.95 million,along with cotton fabrics by 47.17% and 34.20% respectively to 302,463,000 sq.meters valued at USus207.99 million.Meanwhile,exports of knitwear decreased by 7.84% to 7,465,000 dozen,with the value declining by 20.20% to USus150.24 million.
