Cotton Yarn Imports Fall 11.7% in 2019

According to statistics on Japanese imports of pure cotton yarns,as compiled by the Japan Spinners’Association based on trade statistics from the Ministry of Finance,2019 imports fell 11.7% from the previous year to 232,539 131.436-kg bales,of which combed yarns dropped 10.1% to 115,211 bales.The sharp decrease is attributed to a cool down of domestic demand for cotton yarns.
