Japan's Free Trade Agreements:FTAs Expected to Expand Trade With ASEAN & Korea

The Japanese government has entered negotiations with Korea,Thailand and Malaysia to conclude free trade agreements (FTA).The government plans to start negotiations with ASEAN in 2005.Japanese textile trade with these countries is considerably larger in terms of value than those of Singapore and Mexico,with which Japan has already concluded FTA.
