Japan's Nonwovens Industry

The nonwovens industry in Asia has been growing at a high pace over the past decade,supported by the rapid growth of China.According to INDA and EDANA,production of nonwovens in Asia is expected to reach 5.3 million tons in 2020,which is 4.7 times greater than in 2004.In Asia,Japan's production in 2020 is projected at 372,000 tons,accounting for only 10% of Asia's production and 3% of the world's total.That is why Japanese nonwovens manufacturers are strengthening production in Asia to capture the growing Asian markets,while sharpening their strategies of differentiation.
