Business Survey 2019 Japanese Firms Forecast How Business,Production & Procurements Are Likely Be This Year

The Sen-i News,a leading Japanese textile and apparel newspaper and a sister publication of Asian Textile Business(atb),conducted its annual survey to forecast how business would be in 2019 last November and December.Survey respondents numbered 115 Japanese firms,ranging from upstream sector such as fiber and yarn producers to the downstream sector composed of retailers and distributors.2019 Business Forecast In regard to how business would be in 2019,52% of the firms expect no changes in business,followed by 37% who forecast a worsening of business.Eleven percent expected an improvement of business.The fact that’no changes in business’accounted for the greatest share in recent years,with the exception of 2014(the year this survey was started)when’an improvement of business’was the greatest.
