Elba Island LNG train 3 placed in service

The operator of the Elba Island LNG export terminal near Savannah, Georgia, told US energy regulator Ferc on 9 December that the project’s second liquefaction train entered service late last month. Train 3 was placed in service on 26 November, the same day that Ferc autho- rised the move after the train was successfully tested for safe operations. The frst train came on stream at the start of October. Because of the physical layout at the facility, it was easier to start up train 3 before train 2, the facility’s operator says.
