Oman's exports rise in 2017

Oman's LNG exports rose last year as higher gas supply was partially offset by firmer power sector gas demand and some periods when LNG units were unavailable. Oman exported 8.6mn t through its 10.4mn t/yr Qalhat liquefaction facility last year, up from 8.5mn t in 2016. This was the highest figure since 2013, when exports stood at 8.9mn t. The terminal exported 134 cargoes last year, up from 133 a year earlier, data from operator Oman LNG show.
