H-Energy seeks LnG supplies for Jaigarh FSRU

Indian private-sector company H-Energy is planning to secure an additional 500,000 t/yr of LNG in the frst quarter of next year, ahead of the start of com- mercial operations at its foating storage and regasifcation unit (FSRU) in Jaigarh, Maharashtra state, scheduled for October 2018. The frm has chartered the 4mn t/yr GDF Suez Cape Ann FSRU from French energy company Engie for use as an import terminal. The unit, offshore India’s west coast, will operate at a sendout rate of 1.5mn t/yr for its frst two years of operation and then build up to its nameplate capacity. Peak capacity could reach 6mn t/yr. H-Energy has already bought 1mn t/yr of LNG to be delivered over three years on a hybrid pricing basis that consists mostly of oil indexation.
