Moscow revises down Lng production targets

Russia has revised down its medium-term and long-term LNG production targets to more realistic levels. The country could be producing 46mn-65mn t/yr by 2024 and 70mn-82mn t/yr by 2035, up from 18.9mn t in 2018, under the country’s draft energy strat- egy to 2035, which the energy ministry recently submitted to the government for approval. The ministry updated the draft on 18 December after discussions with deputy prime minister in charge of energy issues Dmitry Kozak. The draft is expected to be approved this year.
