Bulgaria’s state-owned Bulgargaz has bought its frst LNG cargoes from Swiss oil products frm Kolmar, with delivery scheduled over the rest of the summer. One cargo — Bulgaria’s frst — was delivered to Greece’s 3.6mn t/yr Revithoussa LNG terminal on 1 June and will be shipped on to Bulgaria through the Kulata bor- der point throughout the month, the energy ministry says. The cargo is equivalent to around 90mn m3 of regasifed gas. Technical capacity to Bulgaria from Greece is only 46.5 GWh/d (4.4mn m3/d), requiring a minimum of over 20 days to deliver the cargo to Bulgaria. But no capacity towards Bulgaria is booked at the border for June or the third quarter, data from system operator Bulgartransgaz show.
