Japan’s spot LNG prices fall in october

Prices of Japanese spot LNG contracts agreed in October averaged $5.50/mn Btu, down by 48.6pc from $10.70/mn Btu a year earlier, but up by 1.9pc from $5.40/mn Btu in September, according to the trade and industry ministry (Meti). The ANEA price - the Argus assessment for northeast Asia des cargoes - av- eraged $6.00/mn Btu in October, lower by 40.2pc from the $10.03/mn Btu assess- ment in the same month of last year, but higher by 18.8pc from $5.05/mn Btu in September.
