imports fall to nine-month low

Thailand’s LNG imports in August declined to their lowest level in nine months, likely on the back of an increase in domestic gas production and pipeline gas volumes from Myanmar (Burma). Thailand received 310,546t of LNG in August, down by 280,494t, or 47pc, from 591,040t in July and 108,767t, or 26pc, lower from 419,313t in August 2019. Its monthly LNG imports averaged 514,235t during January-July, and were last lower in November 2019 at 275,314t.
