ExxonMobil is testing market interest for its 50pc stake in the Neptun gas feld ofshore Romania, after the country’s new energy minister, Virgil Popescu, said that he wants Romanian state-controlled Romgaz to help develop the asset to boost domestic production. The company is providing information to third parties that “may have an inter- est” in the stake, ExxonMobil says, adding that no agreement has been reached nor a buyer identifed.
