Brittany Ferries cancels LNG-fuelled newbuild order

France’s Brittany Ferries has terminated its contract with German shipyard Flens- burger Schifbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) for construction of an LNG-fuelled ferry. FSG will maintain ownership of the vessel, the Honfeur , and says it is in talks with “various parties” to arrange fnancing and the vessel’s completion. The Hon- feur will take another 11-12 months to build, FSG says.
