BP’s european gas output down in second quarter

BP’s gas production in Europe fell in April-June from a year earlier, while its realised prices were also weaker. The frm’s output fell by more than a third to 3.7mn m~3/d from 5.7mn m~3/d in the second quarter of 2018, and was down from 4.1mn m~3/d in the frst quarter. BP’s European production has largely fallen in recent years, in line with lower output from the UK’s mature ofshore felds. And BP sold its stakes in the Bruce, Keith and Rhum felds to Serica Energy, efective from the start of 2018.
