Using the latest technology against an old enemy - Newcastle Disease

Several countries in Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East are still heavily suffering from the enzootic form of the Newcastle Disease (ND). In these countries, prevention is considered of utmost importance and vaccination as a routine obligation, aiming before anything else at ensuring clinical and economical protection in case of challenge. However, although vaccination programs are always veryheavy and demanding and directly or indirectly very costly, protection is not always achieved. Therefore, better solutions are required regarding both implementation of biosecurity procedures and availability of more efficacious vaccine solutions, if the poultry industry wants to have ajgaj control of this disease.
