EDrill-2 hired for Malaysia job

UK player EnQuest has hired the EDrill-2 tender assist drilling rig from Singapore’s Energy Drilling for its campaign offshore Peninsula Malaysia. This is Energy Drilling’s first contract in Malaysia. EnQuest’s Malaysian operations include the PM8e Production Sharing Contract, consisting of the PM8 and Seligi fields. EnQuest said preparations are ongoing for drilling at PM8/Seligi, as well as the Magnus field in the UK North Sea. Drilling programmes are on schedule to start later this year, EnQuest said.
