Santos has made progress at the Dorado-2 appraisal well off- shore Western Australia. The current drilling depth is around 2,250m (7,382ft). The Dorado-2 well is located in WA-437-P and was spudded in early May using the Noble Tom Prosser jack-up rig. Santos is the operator of WA-437-P with an 80% stake, Carnarvon Petroleum holds the remaining 20%. Carnarvon said that the 17.5-inch hole was drilled to a depth of around 1,230m (4,036ft) Measured Depth (MD) and the 13.375-inch casing has been set and cemented in place.
