Ichthys surveys imminent

Japan’s Inpex is preparing to undertake geotechnical and geo- physical surveys on the Ichthys field offshore Australia - with an eye on further development of the field. The company has submitted an Environment Plan (EP) for the surveys to the Australian government. Inpex and its partners are developing the Ichthys field in the Browse Basin off northwest Western Australia to produce condensate offshore for export to markets in Japan and elsewhere, and export gas for further processing at the Ichthys LNG plant in Darwin, Australia.
