South China Sea ‘gas clouds’

Empyrean has identified ‘gas clouds’ - an indication of a large oil field presence - over two prospects in the South China Sea. Empyrean said that an analysis of 3D seismic data, acquired during 2017, confirmed the presence of well-defined low reflec- tivity zones - or gas clouds - in the overburden strata above the Jade and Topaz structures on Block 29/11.
