BP's Environment Plan (EP) for the Ironbark-1 exploration well has been approved by Australian regulator NOPSEMA. The well is located in exploration permit WA-359-P offshore Australia. It is operated by BP, with its partners being Cue Energy, Beach Energy and New Zealand Oil & Gas. The partners entered into a joint operating agreement cover-ing WA-359-P in March 2019. Under the work programme, the partners are required to drill a single exploration well in the permit. The EP plan was first submitted in December 2019 and then resubmitted in January 2020.
