Thailand PTTEP To Focus On Maintenance, Core Exploration And Diversifcation

The upstream arm of Thailand’s state-owned PTT has revised its long-term strategic outlook for the ‘post-pandemic’ era. PTTEP’s eforts to rein-in cost look set to see certain high-cost exploration activities – mostly overseas – deferred in the near- term, as priority shifts to domestic output maintenance activities. The frm’s medium-term plan is more expansionary – PTTEP has identifed several key areas where it wants to expand exploration including in Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Middle East.
