Massive tax fraud uncovered at tile maker

The investigation of Rajkot income tax commissionerate has unearthed a massive Rs125 crore tax evasion by six companies of a major ceramic group in Morbi. During the raid, the income tax inspectors unearthed a new modus operandi of maintaining parallels book of accounts using a specific software programme across all the companies. The amount of tax evasion is expected to increase as the investigation progresses.
