In a proud moment for the Gujarat technology sector, Morbi based ceramic ink producer Sol Inks (trading as Inkera Inks) has signed an agreement with the Italian company Sicer S.p.A. Under the terms of the agreement Sicer will take a 51% controlling interest in Sol Inks with direct involvement of Sicer management in the company board of directors, while retaining the Indian management, led by CEO Mayur Detroja. Sol Inks, or Sicer India as it will be known upon closing, is India's largest producer of digital inks and by far the largest local manufacturer in the ceramic inks segment, with annual production exceeding 1,000 tons of high-quality nanoscale inks for digital printing of ceramic surfaces.
