On the taxonomic identity of the representatives of the brachyuran genus Pilumnus Leach, 1816 (Decapoda: Brachyura: Pilumnidae) occurring along the Russian coasts of the Black Sea

Morphological and DNA-marker (COI mtDNA) analyses allowed to identify the representatives of the brachyuran genus Pilumnus Leach; 1816 (Decapoda: Pilumnidae) occurring along the Russian Federation coastline of the Black Sea as Pilumnus aestuarii Nardo; 1869. Earlier taxonomic identifications (e.g. Pilumnus hirtellus (Linnaeus, 1761)) and suggested scientific names for specimens from the Black Sea should be probably considered as misidentifica-tions or junior synonyms of P. aestuarii.
