Large projects to expedite the flow of tanker traffic on Russia's river system-an important transport route for refined products-are progressing slowly.The Azov-Don basin administration cancelled a Rbs21bn($276mn)tender for construction of the Bagayevsky dam-lock complex on the Don river,in the Rostov region,after no bids were submitted.It forms part of a wider upgrade and expansion of Russia's inland waterway infrastructure by 2024,which was approved by the federal government in September 2018.
