Rail shipments of products for export from Russia rose by 1.2pc on the month to 8.77mn t in January, as a result of lower domestic demand. Gasoline deliveries were almost 40pc higher than in December at 555,800t, as lower Russian consumption increased availability for export. Rail supply to the Baltic Sea port of Ust-Luga doubled to almost 251,000t. Gazprom's 254,000 b/d Salavat refinery shipped 36,500t in January - its first gasoline supply to the port - while Lukoil started shipments from its 365,000 b/d Nizhny Novgorod complex. Gazpromneft delivered gasoline to Lithuania's port of Klaipeda for the first time since September, supplying 17,000t from the 240,000 b/d Moscow refinery.
