Floating storage tankers prepare for winter

Rosneft is expected to pull out of operation this month one of its four floating storage tankers moored in the Kerch strait. The firm will decide which vessel to remove when the results of products supply tenders for 2018 are announced in the first half of this month, market participants say. This will enable it to determine which products, and in what quantities, will be exported through Azov and Black Sea ports next year. Rosneft stopped shipping products by river from its 140,000 b/d Saratov refinery and 530,000 b/d Samara complex by 20 November. But products continued to arrive at floating storage until early December because of delivery delays caused by bad weather.
