De-Kastri imposes ice restrictions

Russia’s far east De-Kastri terminal introduced ice restrictions on 5 December. The port loads Sokol crude produced by Rosneft and the ExxonMobil-led Sakhalin 1. Only vessels with at least an Ice 2 rating under Russia’s classification system can operate independently, while Ice 1 rated vessels will require icebreaker support.
