Belarus-bound Iranian crude arrives in Odessa

An 80,000t cargo of Iranian crude was delivered to the Ukrainian port of Odessa on 20 March for onward rail delivery to Belarus. The cargo, delivered on the tanker Sienna, was bought by state-run Belarusian firm BNK and is bound for the 323,000 b/d Mozyr refinery. NIOC said last month it had sold a cargo to Belarus. The purchase appears to be an attempt by Minsk to show Moscow that it has alternatives to the Urals normally run at Belarusian refineries, after Russia cut deliveries during a gas price dispute.
