Russian freight rates fall

Tanker freight rates for oil shipments from Russian far east,and northwest and far north ports,fell in August as demand for vessels declined because of lower exports of refined product.Loadings of 40,000-60,000t product cargoes at Rosneft's RN-Nakhodkanefteprodukt terminal,at the far east port of Nakhodka,were almost 12pc lower than the previous month at 343,900t in 11 cargoes last month.Product exports from the Transbunker terminal at the port of Vanino declined by 8.5pc compared with June to 86,200t last month,in two cargoes-including a single vacuum gasoil shipment of nearly 74,000t.
