Tankcars seek freight base

Total oil shipments on the state-owned Russian Railways (RZD) network fell by nearly 10pc on the year in the frst nine months of 2019 and were more than 11pc lower than in January-September 2018. The sharp decline in 2020 largely refects reduced demand for refned products because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
