BtC Blend loadings fall

Light sweet BTC Blend exports dropped by a ffth in March from February to 551,000 b/d (2.29mn t). Deliveries outside Europe fell by nearly half to just over 160,000 b/d. India was the dominant Asian buyer, but cargoes also went to Thai- land and Vietnam. First-quarter exports fell by 6pc on the year to 635,000 b/d. BTC Blend loadings are scheduled around 6pc lower than the April plan at 545,000 b/d in May. But exports could be revised from the preliminary plan, as key sellers combine 650,000 bl cargoes to into larger shipments for long-haul markets. At least two April shipments of BTC Blend are heading to China, while another is bound for Vietnam.
