New far east LPG terminal approved

Russian regulatory agency Glavgosexpertiza has given the go-ahead for construction of a 1mn t/yr LPG terminal at the port of Sovetskaya Gavan,in the far east Khabarovsk region.Private-sector firm Remstal is developing the terminal,which could be commissioned next year,handling propane,butane and propane-butane mix for export to Asia-Pacific.Remstal and state-owned Far East Development reached an investment agreement covering the project in December,market participants say.Remstal handles coal shipments from Sovetskaya Gavan.
