Brazil’s federal supreme court has blocked some of state-controlled Petrobras’ asset sales after granting an oil union request for an injunction. Supreme court judge Edson Fachin overturned a January federal appeals court decision that would have allowed Petrobras to sell a 90pc stake in the Tag gas pipeline to French utility Engie. Fachin also upheld a separate supreme court injunction that blocked the sale of 60pc stakes in four refi neries in his 24 May ruling. His decision will be reviewed by the full court on 30 May.
