Aruba, Curacao push downstream plans

The Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba is preparing to award a lease for oil storage while it searches for an operator for its mothballed 235,000 b/d refnery. State-owned RdA, which owns the San Nicolas facility and associated land, is evaluating bids from three frms for an oil storage lease, which is expected to be awarded by 1 August, the prime minister’s ofce says. Aruba has 10 storage tanks that can hold a combined 665,000 bl of clean prod- ucts, 5.22mn bl of crude and around 520,000 bl of naphtha. Another seven tanks awaiting repairs have space for 4.22mn bl of crude.
