India's crude steel output to soar by 38% to 140 mil mt in 2018

India's crude steel output is expected to soar by 38 per cent to 140 million tonnes (MT) by the end of this year, Steel Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh said. The country produced 101.4 MT steel in 2017. Domestic crude steel production is likely to be 140 MT in this year, Singh told PTI.
