Egypt delays new HRC bookings, awaits clearer price direction

Egyptian importers of HRC are still reluctant to buy due to the price uncertainty and long delivery period. Prices for Chinese HR products went up by $95/t over the month, coming to $405-415/t CFR. Egyptian customers consider this level unacceptable, bidding $10-20/t lower. At the same time, some market players are reporting offers for Chinese material from traders at $390/t CFR.
