Austrian renewable energy consumption declines

Austria's renewable electricity consumption has fallen for the frst time since 2011, regulator E-control’s renewable energy report shows. The share of subsidised renewable energy in Austrian electricity consumption dropped from 17.9pc in 2017 to 16.5pc in 2019. The report analyses the targets of the renewable energy law from 2012, year-on-year changes and consequences for consumers.
