EIB loan for biomass heating in Belarus

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €90mn loan supporting biomass heating in Belarus. The loan, under the EU’s EU4Energy programme, will fund the replacement of gas-fred boilers with biomass-fred boilers, to provide thermal energy production of around 1,000 GWh/yr, the EIB said.
