Stockholm Exergi to install CCS at biomass plant

Swedish utility Stockholm Exergi will install a test carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility at its 130MW woody biomass-fred KVV8 combined heat and power plant (CHP) in Stockholm. The technology will capture the carbon produced during biomass combustion from the fue gas. The test facility will start up in October and run until June 2020, when the results will be evaluated.
