German bioenergy sector warns on pandemic impact

Germany’s bioenergy sector faces delays and disruptions not just to project investments as a result of the coronavirus, but also to transportation of plant feedstock, industry group Hauptstadtburo Bioenergie has warned. The sector will need exemptions and fexible arrangements to cope with the situation, according to the industry group, which comprises bioenergy federation BBE, farmers’ association DBV, biogas association FVB and wood energy association FVH.
