Rentech terminates Drax wood pellet contract

US-based wood pellet producer Rentech has terminated its contract to supply wood pellets to UK utility Drax, after idling its 450,000 t/yr Wawa wood pellet production plant in February. Rentech and Drax terminated the 400,000 t/yr contact in October, with no further continuing obligation between the parties, Rentech said.
