Japan’s eRex delays Okinawa biomass project

Japanese power producer and supplier eRex has pushed back the start-up date for its biomass power generation project in the country’s southernmost Okinawa prefecture from a previous target of April 2020-March 2021. eRex now plans to begin commercial operations at the 50MW biomass power plant in Uruma, located in the centre of Okinawa's main island, at the end of July 2021, after starting construction in June next year.
