Malaysia's January-September PKS exports increase

Malaysia's palm kernel shell (PKS) exports increased by around 40pc during January-September against the same period a year earlier in response to increased demand from Japan. The country exported 491,536t of PKS during January- September, according to data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). Nearly 85pc of these exports were shipped to Japan. Malaysia supplied 415,294t to Japan during January- September, up 28pc from 324,152t during the same period last year.
