The retail price for premium wood pellets in the UK fell in August, despite the approach of the heating season and rising premium pellet prices in other parts of Europe. The average price for EN plus certified A1 pellets fell to ￡297.17/t ($382.75/t), down by 0.5pc from ￡298.69/t in July. The price drop follows three months of prices holding flat at ￡298.70/t in May-July.
