Poland’s Tauron 1Q18 biomass generation down

Polish electricity producer Tauron reduced its biomassfuelled electricity generation in the first quarter of this year as part of a wider strategy to lower its power output. Tauron produced just 20GWh of electricity from biomass in the first quarter, down by 77pc on the year, the company said. Tauron operates the 50MW Jaworzno and 20MW Stalowa Wola dedicated biomass units in Poland.
