RWE criticises proposed Dutch coal deadline

Plans to force Dutch power plants built in the 1990s to stop burning coal by 2025 are “ill-judged”, German utility RWE said. A draft law submitted by the Dutch ministry of economic affairs and climate sets out a deadline for the end of coalfired electricity generation by 2025 for plants built in the 1990s, and 2030 for more recent plants.
