The effect of forthcoming restrictions on the use of EN-plus A2 grade wood pellets in three Italian regions is being felt in the market, traders say, as the spot price for EN-plus wood pellets in Italy holds at a near-record high. Three northern Italian regions signed legislation which will make the use of EN-plus A1 grade wood pellets 'mandatory' in domestic biomass installations, effectively banning the use of A2 wood pellets from 1 October this year.
