Atlantic Basin Industrial: Cif ARA spot adds to gains

The spot price for wood pellets delivered into the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) area rose by $1.25/t to close at $171.99/t, driven in part by a weakening dollar against the euro. The US dollar traded at $1.24/? on Wednesday its highest prices since December 2014. The dollar weakened by 14pc compared to the euro in 2017 and has continued to weaken so far this year, helping to lift the dollar-denominated cif ARA spot price.
